Dr. Cooper

“There is one quality which one must possess to win, and that is definiteness of purpose, the knowledge of what one wants, and a burning desire to possess it”.

-Napoleon Hill

Dr. Robin D. Cooper, Ph.D. is motivated by her belief that the best way to predict the future is to create it and she is learning to BE, think, and create on and in purpose. One of her most treasured co-creations, her family (lovingly referred to as “The Crew”) consists of a daughter, LeeAnn Clark—granddaughters Arriah, Makayla, and Zurri Clark— and two sons George and Joshua Clark. Describing The Crew, Robin says, “They are my spiritual partners and other than mySelf, the loves of my life.”

Learning is another lifelong love of Robin’s and this affinity prompted her to secure a B.S. in Education from the University of Cincinnati (Early Childhood Education), a M.Ed. and Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. Dr. Cooper spent thirty years in Ohio’s public schools sharing her passion for education as a teacher, assistant principal, and Human Resources administrator. She is currently a professor in the college of Education, Heath, and Society at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where she teaches Mindfulness, Children’s Literature, and other courses to preservice teachers.

In response to her own adverse childhood experiences—which resulted in many personal struggles—and an ongoing fantastic journey to healing, Dr. Cooper founded Just S’UNO, LLC. This social enterprise disrupts the continuous Black inferiority campaign by disclosing, developing, disseminating narratives and images of Black excellence. Additionally, Just S’UNO structures spaces (virtual and physical) for critical dialogue and deliberate action dedicated to healing souls and uplifting individuals, families, communities.

Dr. Cooper enjoys witnessing the beauty of the Creator through nature and the talents of imaginative, creative people—think lawn seats at an outdoor summer concert. She is a 200hr-RYT (registered Yoga Teacher Reiki Healer) and enjoys being in silence, practicing yoga and meditation, gardening, reading, dreaming, writing, word puzzles, engaging with the spiritual community, and creating art of all sorts. In balance and harmony, she also enjoys drumming, music, dancing, and binge watching her favorite shows.

Robin creates content of many types in several platforms and is a published author currently writing and illustrating children’s literature, young adult and adult literature. Her first book, Big Sister, Middle Sister, Little Sister Too! was co-authored with her granddaughters and is available on Amazon. Dr. Cooper cut her teeth as an artist by creating the illustrations for this children’s book, her freshman project. About this seemingly busyness, she says, “It sounds like a lot, but it’s not because it’s all connected, purposeful, and gratifying.”

Dr. Cooper’s favorite quote is “Be True To YOU!” and this mantra is tattooed on her inner wrist to serve as a constant reminder to her former self that the ONLY voice that matters is one’s own inner voice—that which is of the divine I AM!
