When asking Mickki how would she describe herself to others, her statement was, “I’m a true Middletownnian”. I’ve lived nowhere else and I desire to live nowhere else. She went on to say that she considers herself to be a great friend, loving person and a semi good cook. Her friends and family can always count on her not only to be there if they need her, but to keep them entertained with her wonderful sense of humor.

Mickki believes that everyone should do what they can to help each other and credits her mom with instilling this idea in her. She was taught that it is our responsibility to be of service to others, helping whenever we can. Throughout her adulthood, Mickki has been asked often why she gives of herself and do so much for others. Her reply is simple “I have to follow the best advice ever given to me by my loving mother. And that is, “Two wrongs don’t make a right, so always do your best towards everyone”.

Mickki sees life through a clear set of glasses, her heart is set on family. She love her family and knows the feeling is mutual. Although they don’t always see eye to eye and disagreements happen, they all love each other and that is the only thing that matters. She summed things up with how she views life. Everything has a season, everyone has a motive, everyone makes their own choice and chooses their own path. Everyone has a soul and I choose to live each day like it’s my last and help anyone I can who crosses my path.

That way, I am staying true to my own soul.
